Scottsdale’s Local Bistro Celebrates Re-Grand Opening
Local Bistro, located at 20581 North Hayden Road in the Hayden Peak Crossing shopping plaza, has reopened its doors with a fully renovated interior and patio area as well as enhanced menus and generous weekly features.
Local design architect and restaurant designer Ivonek Badilla, principal of EVODESIGN, and in collaboration with Todd Kessell of Platinum Commercial and Ron Hecht of Valley Architecture led the remodel.
In addition to these professionals’ expertise on the upgrades, patrons’ suggestions were taken into consideration as a way to express gratitude to the local community that has embraced the eatery since the day it opened, according to German Osio, the founder and CEO of Osio Culinary Group, Local Bistro’s parent company.
The menu at Local Bistro—known for its wood-fired pizzas, fresh-caught seafood and hand-selected steaks—has a number of new additions including:
- Handmade Burrata with crispy eggplant, tomato- chili marmalade, fresh mint $12
- The Meatball…and Spaghetti:Giant meatball, light tomato sauce, torn basil, ricotta, garlic bread $16
- Heirloom Tomato Trio: Thai style with melon, roasted tartare, stuffed with ricotta and basil $ 14
- Mediterranean Garganelli:Artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, white wine, crispy capers $16
- 45 -Day Aged New York Strip au Poivre: 14 ounce, center cut steak with brandy cream sauce, Lyonnaise potatoes and cippolini onions $38
- Tuna Tartare: Avocado, crème fraiche, jalapeno pesto, sesame crisp $14
“Our new seasonal brunch, lunch and dinner menus take Local Bistro’s beloved flavors to a whole new level,” said Osio. “In addition, our Beverage Director Bill DeGroot has once again proven his craft with new cocktail recipes, including brand new frozen drinks. We are also glad to introduce a state-of-the-art climate-controlled wine cellar to provide the ideal environment for our thoughtfully-selected wines.”
Improvements to the space and ambiance, which were designed to enhance the dining experience, include new lighting, floors, walls and furnishings; an expanded bar with additional windows opening to a new side patio; additional televisions at the bar; expanded and refurbished patio seating area; and more.
To celebrate the re-opening, Local Bistro is inviting its regulars as well as new guests to come see the renovation and stay for the specials.
Now through September 28, Local Bistro is offering:
- Social Hour prices on food and drink at the bar on Sundays from 3:00 p.m.to close and all day on Mondays.
- $1 Mimosas for the ladies (limit three per person) during Saturday and Sunday brunch with the purchase of an entrée. This, in addition to the bottomless Bloody Mary’s or Mimosas for $12 each that are a brunch menu staple.
- $5 martinis and frozen cocktails at the bar or the dining room on Thursday nights.
As a permanent special, Social Hour will take place daily from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Reverse Social Hour will occur in the bar from 9 p.m. to close each evening. Reverse Social Hour includes an expanded food menu to satisfy late-night diners after the full kitchen closes.
