A Refreshing Spa Party

We’re now in the lazy days of summer, and in the North Valley, life seems to slow down a bit. This is the perfect time to reconnect with friends, get pampered, and beat the heat.

For this article, I wanted to show you fun and relaxing ideas on planning a spa gathering where you and your friends can unwind and be treated like royalty.

The Setup:

I selected a location that was both beautiful and peaceful. Look for a space that has great scenery and minimal interruptions. A covered patio or pool area with shade would be perfect. I also set up the party in “stations” so that there would be an area for each service. Flowers are essential for a spa party and will set the mood with a serene atmosphere. I love getting my flowers from Trader Joe’s or Albertson’s. For linens, I chose a pretty blue-and-pink-patterned fabric and used it to drape the dessert table. I used the same fabric to make runners for the food table as well as the spa tables.

The Food

For our spa party, I selected healthy snacks that were simple to put together yet quite tasty. I treated my guests to iced cucumber water with lemon. This combination is so refreshing and simple to make. For snacks, I served cucumber cracker appetizers, fresh fruit, and a fresh organic salad with tomatoes. We can’t forget about the treats! I set up a dessert table, and Angel Cakes Bakery made the most amazing tilted naked cake I have ever seen. The same flowers that were used to decorate the space were used to decorate the cake.
