Lowdown:

Alexa Nadramia is a singer-songwriter who received extensive formal piano/voice training for more than 10 years. In 2012 — two years after she moved to Arizona — she earned first place in Golden Voices of America. She’s since performed at Carnegie Hall, The Feast of LA hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and radio personality Adam Carolla, and the Italian Festival here in the Valley.

“I was very much into the classical world before I shifted over to pop music,” she adds. “I always like writing my own songs.” “Tonight” is a “girl empowerment song” inspired by a love interest. “Writing music, for me, is a coping mechanism. I’ve had a passion for music since I was a child. I’ve always kept that passion because I knew I had something special.”

She looks up to pop star Bebe Rexha who, like Nadramia, was raised on Staten Island and is a former opera singer. “She inspires me a lot,” she says. “I think she’s a really cool artist, a great performer and she has a great voice.”
